Compare the Traditional Classrooms with the Modern Classroom

Today we will discuss about Compare the Traditional Classrooms with the Modern Classroom

Knowledge Reliability:
The students in a traditional Classroom used to rely mainly on the knowledge imparted by the teacher and his knowledge would never be considered flawed. Whereas in a modern classroom the students go through internet sources on the topic and they come to the class having some basic knowledge and discuss if they have confusion with the source of internet or the information of the teacher.
Use of Technology:
The use of technological gadgets in a traditional classroom like LEDs and projectors was very rare. While in a modern classroom the use of technology has become an essential requirement.
Subject Matter:
Due to the limited resources and limited experience, the knowledge of the teacher as well as the students was limited in a traditional classroom. For instance if a teacher would be having a discussion on economic degradation, s/he would take examples from the economic system of the town or the country at most. But in a modern classroom the teachers as well as the students are knowledgeable enough to discuss facts on universal grounds. The subject matter has changed a lot.
Mode of Interaction:
Previously the mode of interaction was merely physical. The teacher would come prepared with the lecture and convey it verbally or write on the black board. In a modern classroom this interaction has also developed into visual and audio where the teacher not only delivers the lecture verbally but also he shares video clips and audio sources.
Memory retention:
The students in a tradition classroom when they read something from the book or listen to the teacher’s lecture, they would try to memorize it or write it down in the notebook. Whereas in a modern classroom the students use mobile phones and laptops to keep the documents related to the lessons and recorded lectures of the teachers.
Note making:
The students in a traditional classroom used to make notes using pen and paper. The assignments would be handwritten too. In a modern classroom, notes and assignments are made on personal computers and submitted it on teacher’s email address.
Back up lesson:
If students miss any class previously, it would be difficult for him catching up the left over topic and he needed to reach out the teacher for the cause. Now, everything is available over internet and the student can simply search the topic over internet and catch up with the class.
Authority:
The teacher in a traditional classroom would be an all in all authority figure. The student most of the times were not supposed to question his knowledge and were not supposed to question his authority at all. In a modern classroom the teacher is the authority but not the all in all. The students are provided liberty to question his authority as well as his knowledge quite easily.
Source of knowledge:
The students in former times used to go to library to work on the tasks given by the teacher. For learning a language and to cope with the vocabulary issues, the students used to carry dictionaries with them. Whereas in modern time everything is gathered in one gadget that is cellphone. Students keep the dictionaries in their cell phone to look for the difficult words and search various articles to complete any task wherever and whenever they want.
Student teacher gap:
There was a lot of gap between the student and the teacher in a traditional classroom. Most of the times the students were scared to ask the questions. The reason behind this gap was that the teachers were usually strict and egoistic. Modern time has reduced this gap a lot. Teachers are respected yet the students are not scared to ask questions and the teacher also allows them to share concerns.
Conclusion:
In old times the student had to struggle a lot to gain knowledge. He would have to look for his shortcomings and make plans to fill the gaps. The new era has given student a lot of ease. The teacher needs to look for students’ problems and offer him help. The teacher has to provide e-notes and recommend articles to him. Most of the work is done by the teacher and the technology has helped students to gain knowledge a lot.
